To navigate the unprecedented property ownership opportunities now available to international investors and individuals in Qatar, the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (IPA Qatar) is organizing a special virtual event titled ‘Spotlight on Qatar’s Real Estate Market Reforms’ on February 23, 2021. The event will be held in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), Qatari Diar, United Development Company (UDC), and Sotheby's International Realty.

Talks of anticipated growth in Qatar’s real estate market have been intensifying following the issuance of the Council of Ministers’ Decision No. (28) of 2020 on the ownership and use of real estate in the country, which scaled up eligible properties geographically and introduced a range of sought-after privileges to real estate investors for the first time.

With the participation of industry experts and officials from relevant institutions, the event will discuss the recent game-changing reforms and provide participants with an overview of Qatar’s value proposition in the real estate market. Key presentations by both ministries, Qatari Diar and UDC will also highlight various real estate investment opportunities across the country.

In addition, Sotheby's International Realty – world-renowned luxury property expert and one of the largest real estate agencies in Qatar – will be sharing its insider’s perspective on the market’s developments and an outlook on its future.

The event will conclude with a lively panel discussion to shed more light on the recent reforms and answer the audience’s questions on the topic.
