three main lines and 37 stations running mostly underground to connect the capital to its
suburbs. Future development of the Doha Metro will involve the introduction of an additional

Tram
Lusail Tram is a tram service for convenient travel within the new city of Lusail, the
network includes four lines and 25stations aboveground and underground. Lusail Tram connects
to the Doha Metro through two interchange stations at Lusail and Legtaifiya.
Trams are greener and cope better with traffic than buses. They are also much more efficient
in terms of road usage as one train replaces about 40 cars which take up a far larger area
of road space.

Buses
Mowasalat-Karwa provides a frequent, reliable bus service throughout Doha and to all major
communities in Qatar. Buses are modern, air conditioned with low floor access and space for
wheelchairs on most buses. A new fleet of luxury buses are used on longer services to Al
Khor, Al Shamal, Dukhan and Messaieed as well as Airport Express service.
Mowasalat operates a total of 50 routes starting as early as 4am with last buses timed to
depart around 11pm. Most routes operate from Doha Bus Station.
